It’s not “Force Majeure” if it’s planned says IAM

The following press release, in both official languages, will speak to the IAM’s view that Air Canada is attempting to use a “Force Majeure” as a method of placing IAM workers on “off-duty” status.  Please refer to the bulletin to understand the Unions position in this attempt:

Passing of Harold Slegers

On November 9 2020 Harold was reported missing at Pelican Pouch Lake in NW Ontario.  A search of the area was conducted following this report but failed to locate him.  Recently the search was continued and the sad news of him being found has been received.  The Heart Search Team ( Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team) issued the report on Facebook:

Happy New Year to all.  Let’s hope that 2021 is better than this last year and that we all enjoy good health and happiness.  In keeping with the current COVID restrictions, the following will apply for the monthly January Union meeting:

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and Manitoba Public Health Officials limiting gatherings to 5 people, 
Local Lodge 714 has received a dispensation from Grand Lodge to cancel the January 12th, 2021 Regular Membership Meeting.
